Anurag Dhingra, Cisco’s senior executive overseeing enterprise connectivity, outlined the company’s approach, which they call Connected Intelligence. AI agents can tackle nuts-and-bolts infrastructure, allowing IT staff to focus on strategic projects instead of endless routine fixes. When combined with their larger mission, Cisco hopes these orchestrators will turn AI into a true partner, not a replacement, in getting work done.

“Connected Intelligence is people and AI working in harmony, transforming how we work, connect and create,” Dhingra said, adding that purpose built AI should fit naturally into how people already do their jobs.

Agentic AI is stepping out of the lab and into boardrooms, warehouses, research departments, and conference calls—not content to remain a futuristic concept, but rushing to become the daily engine of enterprise transformation.
