Researchers at SquareX have revealed that criminals are now spoofing AI-powered sidebars in popular browsers by coaxing users into installing malicious extensions.
Attacks similar to this one have already targeted other chatbots, including Copilot, Claude, Gemini, and DeepSeek, proving it is not limited to any one company or browser.
